During New Hire Orientation, you will receive a benefit packet that contains details about the benefits available to you while employed with Coweta County Schools. Benefits information can also be found on this website. Plan Documents, Certificates, rate calculators for life insurance, disability, and other benefit information is available by choosing the links to the left. Benefits included in the Plan are the Section 125 Cafeteria Plan, Medical, Dental, Vision, Cancer, Employer Paid Life Insurance, Optional Group Life Insurance, Individual Life Insurance, Accident Insurance, Short and Long Term Disability and Medical & Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts.
Please carefully read the information on each benefit offered before you making your decision. Changes can only be made during the next Open Enrollment Period unless you have a qualifying event.
- In order to enroll in Medical Coverage, you will need to go to https://myshbpga.adp.com/shbp/ and register. The Registration Code is SHBP-GA. You must enroll within 30 days of your Start Date.If you do not want Medical, you must complete the paper State Health Declination Form and return it to the Benefits Office at Werz Central Office within 15 days of your start date.
- All benefits (non-State Health Medical Benefits) are enrolled through the Coweta County Schools Benefits Portal through the online enrollment site. Important dates were included in your new employee information packet

Click “NEXT” button and follow directions to complete your account setup
Cut off will be on/about the 12th of the month prior to your effective date.
The 1st day of the month following a full working month of employment.
Be sure to Print a copy of your Election Form for your records. Each new hire can access their benefits information and make changes until the cut off date.
Frequently Asked Questions
If you do not have access to a computer or need help, you can utilize a Computer Lab at the Central Office on 167 Werz Industrial Drive. Please contact the Benefits Office to setup a time to meet. You can also utilize the Central Office Computer Lab after the new hire orientation session.
