Bibb County School District has three (3) Employee Assistance Plans offered at no cost to employees. VOYA covers all employees, New York Life provides services to those enrolled in the Disability Plan. Southern Behavioral Services is available to help you with personal problems that may affect your work performance.

As a New York Life (formerly Cigna) group policy holder (for disability) certain value added benefits are included at no cost to Bibb County School District employees.  Take advantage of those that are a fit for you, as an employee/dependent or beneficiary.

You can take advantage of a free 30-minute consultation with a certified financial expert before you decide to participate in Money Coaching.

  • Individuals and couples can work with a designated Money Coach for 30 days, paid for by Cigna.
  • Your Money Coach can help you handle a wide range of financial challenge, including but not limited to: Basic money management, getting out of debt, saving for college or retirement, purchasing a home, marriage or divorce, loss of income, death in the family, and more.
  • Through an easy-to-use online portal, you can communicate with your Coach, view educational webinars and access a library of financial tools, forms and tips.
  • After the first 30-day coaching period, you may continue working with your Money Coach for $39.95 per month.
  • Even if you don’t participate in Money Coaching you can get a 25% discount on tax planning and preparation.

Sixty-four percent of Americans do not have a will.* That means that they have little or no control over decisions after they die. It also leaves a burden on family members. They must make hard choices at an emotional time. Advance planning helps to make the process easier.

At NewYork Life’s My Secure Advantage resource website, you can create Personal Legal Documents such as Complaint letters, Family and Divorce, Legal Trusts, Loans and Sales, Wills, Heath Directives, Power of Attorney, and Estate Planning.

There are other legal forms outside of personal, business and legal (bankruptcy).

The My Secure Advantage program provides access to highly trained and certified Fraud Resolution Specialists. The Team has access to over thirty years of combined experience in the legal and financial industry. The team has credentials in the following areas, Certified Fraud Examiner, Certified Identity Theft Risk Management, Fair Credit Reporting Act and Certified Credit Report Reviewing to name a few. Cigna’s comprehensive services will assign a team member who will work as your advocate to assist with prevention as well as restoration of your financial reputation if you ever become a victim of identity theft.

The Work Wellness website provides employees and employers with detailed information on the Disability process. In addition, the website provides information on New York Life’s Value-Add Services (Will Prep, Identity Theft, Healthy Rewards, Secure Travel and Life Assistance Program) and Vocational Services (Pre-Disability Vocational Services and Vocational Rehabilitation Program). With New York Life’s Pre-Disability Vocational program, we will spend up to $1,000 in workplace accommodation equipment, in order to allow employees to remain at work with their condition(s). If an employee is on Disability and participating in an approved New York Life Vocational Rehabilitation Program, there is no cap on the funds that New York Life will spend to assist with the employee’s return to work.

Your ComPsych® GuidanceResources® program provides no-cost, confidential emotional support to life’s challenges. When traveling more than 100 miles from home, whether domestic or international travel, Voya Travel Assistance provides eligible participants four types of services:

  • Emergency Transportation Services,
  • Medical Assistance Services,
  • Emergency Personal Services, and
