  • Maternity Benefits are paid the same as for an illness.
  • Benefits are not paid for occupational illness or accident.
  • Disability benefits begin after your sick-leave is exhausted.

Benefits Offset

  • Amounts of weekly benefits will be reduced by any Social Security or other retirement income being received by the claimant.
  • No benefit will be paid if you are injured on the job or collecting Workers Compensation benefits.

Pre-existing Limitation

Benefits will not be paid as a result of a “pre-existing condition” until the insured has gone twelve (12) months treatment free or has been continuously covered for twelve (12) months. A pre-existing condition is an illness or injury for which the insured has received diagnosis, treatment or advice with in a three (3) month period preceding the effective date of enrollment or an increase in coverage.
