Beyond what is provided by Calhoun City Schools, employees can elect additional group life insurance for themselves, their spouses, and their children.

Benefits

Employees receive $200,000 as a New Hire. Minimum $10,000 with a Maximum of 6 times salary to $500,000.

Spouse receive $30,000 as a New Hire enrollment. Minimum is $5,000 with a Maximum of 50% of the employee amount, not to exceed $250,000

If the spouse is also employed at Calhoun City Schools, they may not be covered as both an employee & spouse.

Dependent Children 14 days to 6 months $1,000 and $10,000 from 6 months to 19 or 26 full time student.

Dependent coverage is only available if the employee is insured for the Employee Group Supplemental Life coverage.

Plan Design

Supplemental life policies include the same amount of AD&D coverage as elected life insurance. Your cost may be waived if you are totally disabled for a period of time.

This benefit includes an equal amount of Accidental Death & Dismemberment coverage (AD&D), that will pay an additional equal amount in the event of a fatal accident.

Annual Enrollment & Guarantee Issue

During Annual Enrollment Periods, Employees can increase $20,000 in Supplemental Life Insurance,
Spouse can increase $10,000.

Employee and Spouse can both increase without having previous coverage.

Coverage increases are available if you have not been previously declined.
